Virtual Visits

The next best thing (probably better) to a Bob Shea in-person school visit.

Imagine having famous author Bob Shea visit your students without having to suffer through his tiresome “interesting stories” at an awkward, obligatory dinner the evening before. Win win, right?

Bob (that’s me!) has spent the past few months making his ZOOM presentations as engaging and entertaining as possible. It wasn’t easy, but Bob (that’s me!) came up with simple drawing demos and games that inspire and encourage kid’s creativity away from a screen.

Let’s use bullet points to describe some elements for a Bob Shea Virtual Visit:

• Simple, easy to follow drawing techniques

• Hear the author (that’s me!) read runaway smash hit, Chez Bob

• Perhaps a behind the scenes look at Bob’s (that’s me!) snack and music preference since you’re in a real artist’s studio

• We’ll play Story Safari, the game that finds the story in everyday objects

• Probably some Q+A

Since I am in my studio wearing slippers with my music and snacks, there’s no need to book a full day. I’ve broken it down into 45 minute sessions. It’s also considerably more affordable than an in person visit. Oh, and I can’t snoop through your desk when you turn your back. I’m happy to do up to 3 sessions a day. I just ask you keep the grade levels similar since I tailor the presentation to the age of the students.
