Hello.

Here are are a couple of the sculpture projects I would like to propose for the Madison Sculpture Mile. My work is a modern, minimal exploration of two dimensional forms in a three dimensional space.

This friendly cloud installation hugs the facade of the Scranton Library. The raised clouds give the illusion of floating just over the surface of the building. They are directly reflective of my aesthetic both as a children’s illustrator and an art director.

The clouds started as an experimental art piece for my studio in downtown Madison. I fabricated these at my maker space from a sheet of acrylic.

The clouds also work well as free standing objects. I can imagine a ground level installation of giant clouds forming a space that invites exploration and interaction. Run around in the giant clouds. Fun.

The second proposal could be placed outside the new building on Bradley Street. The modern design is a perfect backdrop for simple organic forms. These shapes are striking and impactful in a group each individual adding to the drama and rhythm of the whole.

Paper mock-ups form a field of heads.

Below we find the clouds hanging out with another one of my pieces. This elephant was made from a single piece of steel and cut with a jet of water. It was then powder coated and folded. Another project from my maker space.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my work.

You can email me here if you like. (No pressure.)
